What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is series of clear trays, typically worn for a period of 6-18 months, that move teeth into a desirable position. It helps align the teeth to create an appealing smile that is also more healthy. Straighter teeth are easier to keep clean and they don't chip or fracture from bite discrepancies. TMJ disorder symptoms are also decreased by allowing the jaw to move more freely and creating more space that leads to the airway.
What to expect
At the first appointment, a digital scanner is hovered over your teeth to create a digital 3D model of your mouth. This helps us see any problem areas, like spots that take extra strain and stress when you bite down. The scanner can also show you the results you can expect from Invisalign before you even begin wearing the trays. From this scan, we can design and order your trays to get started on your new smile! There is no pain or goopy impression material involved.
